Applies to: Settings, and Plans & Billing in the sidebar
Settings holds your account details:
Name — edit it and click Save Profile.
Email Address — the address you sign in with.
Under Change Password in Settings, enter a new password and confirm it. Passwords must be at least 6 characters, and both fields must match.
Forgotten your password and cannot sign in? Use Forgot password on the login page to get a reset link by email.
New accounts get a 14-day free trial so you can build, test and export before paying. Your trial end date is shown at the top of Plans & Billing as it approaches.
When the trial ends you will need to choose a plan to keep using the product. Nothing you have built is deleted when a trial expires.
Plans & Billing lists the available plans with what each includes. Plans can be billed monthly or annually, and your current plan is badged in the list.
Each plan sets:
Included events — your monthly allowance of recipient interactions and opens.
Overage rate — what you pay per 1,000 events beyond the allowance.
Included test emails — how many test sends you get per billing period.
Current Plan Usage on the same page shows how much of your allowance you have used.
Usage resets monthly on the 1st. Events above your included allowance are charged at your plan's overage rate per 1,000, so you are never cut off mid-campaign — you are billed for the excess instead.
If you are regularly in overage, compare the cost against the next plan up; the higher allowance is usually cheaper than paying overage every month.
Test sends draw on a separate allowance. If a test send would take you past it, Ampemail tells you how many you have used and how many remain, and the send is blocked rather than charged. Reduce the number of recipients, or upgrade.
Upgrades and downgrades are made from Plans & Billing.
A change that takes effect at the end of your current billing period shows as a pending change, with the date it will apply and what it will change to. You can cancel a scheduled change before that date if you change your mind — your current plan then simply continues.
Invoices on the same page lists your billing history, with each invoice's number, date, amount and status, and a link to download it. Older invoices load as you scroll.
What counts as an event? Recipient activity on your emails — opens and interactions. Your own test sends draw on the separate test email allowance.
What happens if I go over my included events? Nothing stops working. The excess is billed at your plan's overage rate per 1,000 events.
When does my usage reset? On the 1st of each month.
Can I get a plan that is not listed? Yes — there is a contact link at the bottom of the plans list for custom arrangements.
Do my templates survive a downgrade or a cancelled subscription? Your templates and their submission history remain in your account. What changes is your allowance and access going forward.
