Ampemail builds AMP emails — emails your recipients can act on inside the inbox itself. Instead of "click here to leave a review", the star rating sits in the email and the click is the review. Instead of "visit our site to see our range", the carousel scrolls in the message.
Every template also produces a plain HTML fallback automatically, which is what recipients on inboxes without AMP support receive. You build once; Ampemail produces both versions.
Go to the signup page and register with your email address and a password.
Confirm your email address from the message we send you.
You will land on the Dashboard.
New accounts start on a 14-day free trial, so you can build, test and export before choosing a plan. See Account and billing for what happens when the trial ends.
The left-hand sidebar is the main navigation:
Menu item | What it is for |
|---|---|
Dashboard | Your totals at a glance and your most recent templates |
AMP Templates | Every template you have created — edit, duplicate, delete or open its analytics |
Template Gallery | Ready-made templates you can start from instead of a blank canvas |
AMP Blocks | Reusable blocks — marked Coming soon |
Integrations | Connect Ampemail to your sending platform |
AMP Approval Guide | The steps to get your domain approved for AMP by each inbox provider |
Help Doc | Product help |
Settings | Your name, email address and password |

The dashboard shows four figures:
AMP Templates — how many templates you have built.
Total Submissions — how many times recipients have interacted with your AMP emails (a rating, a form, a spin) across all templates.
AMP Usage — how many opens rendered the interactive AMP version.
Fallback Usage — how many opens rendered the plain HTML version instead.
The AMP-to-fallback split is the number worth watching. A very low AMP figure usually means your sending domain is not yet approved — see AMP approval.
Below the figures, Recent Templates gives you a shortcut back into whatever you were last working on.
Go to AMP Templates and create a new template, or open Template Gallery and start from a ready-made design.
Give the template a name — this is what you will look for later in lists, exports and analytics, so make it specific.
Drag blocks from the left-hand library onto the canvas. Start with a header, add your content, finish with a footer.
Add at least one AMP component — a rating, a form or a spin wheel — since that interactivity is the reason to send an AMP email at all. See AMP interactive components.
Click any block on the canvas to open its settings on the right, and adjust text, colours, images and links.
Save as you go.
Use Send Test to send yourself a copy and check it in a real inbox. Interactive parts only behave correctly in a real email client, not in a browser preview.
When you are happy, Export the template to your sending platform.
Full detail on each of these steps is in The template builder and Testing and exporting.
AMP emails have one requirement that ordinary emails do not: your sending domain must be approved by each inbox provider before they will render the interactive version. Until that is done, everyone receives the fallback. This approval takes days to weeks and is done with Google, Yahoo and Mail.ru rather than with us, so start it early — AMP approval has the steps.
